The S4Traffic Director is the most ethical way of providing a non-discriminatory selection process for Walk Through Security Metal Detectors in high traffic areas such as factories and other application where long lineups of employees waiting to go through the metal detector could cause irritations. With the S4 Traffic Director it is impossible for anyone to feel targeted as it is electronics that randomly direct traffic to either by-pass or pass through the Metal Detector.

Operation

The remote unit of the S4 is located ahead of the metal detector and contains a large mushroom type push button switch with red and green traffic lights. The person presses the push button switch and if the Red light comes on they must go through the metal detector.

The traffic director electronics unit is mounted on the cross/piece of the Metal Detector and' will randomly produce the RED signal based on the percentage indicated on the front. This percentage can be changed from 0 to 99% in 1 % increments for precise selection and can be changed any time.

A built in counter keeps track of how many were directed through the metal detector and how many were passed allowing for better internal control. In addition, the traffic director can be made to have a key switch that deactivates the ability to view or change the percentage stopped.

The Traffic Director can interface with electric door strikes so that the door is locked until a pass signal is given. The time the door is open can be managed through a built in door timer or through a door contact. The S4 Traffic Director is ideal for any high traffic checkpoints at places such as airport arrivals customs and immigration ,tourist attractions, government buildings or places of work.
